I adore Daphne du Maurier (those books I have read), but I have mixed feelings about 'Rebecca' - after watching a part of one of the adaptations (not the last one) and after what I have read so far. It isn't bad, but I am not involved like with e.g. 'Hungry Hill' or 'The King's General' or 'Frenchman's Creek' and a few others.
