I loved the first two books. I had high hopes for this one, I am reading chapter 5, still preposterous.

The hype for this book is so phenomenal, I had high hopes. I loved the first book and thought the second was good but this one...just didn't work for me. I was so frustrated, at some point I honestly thought there was something wrong with me. But no. It was the book 😁

It gets worse and worse, Şebnem. I loved the first two books but this is nothing like them. Ronan is nothing like Nico or Christian. I cannot even call this man a "hero". And she is too naive, too silly... Everything is also too boring for me :(((

Oh no, it is the book, Carol, it is the book. Danielle herself said she wrote a very controversial book and some would love it and some would hate it. We are in the group that dislikes it, as I see. I haven't finished it yet but I don't think my feelings will change.

It's more than controversial. There's something odd with the writing. The construction of the story is strange in a bad way. Not to mention the waste it was Ronan's character because he wasn't written the right way. And I don't think a man with his past and life story would be remotely interested in someone like Mila. She was the wrong counterpart for him and maybe that's why nothing seemed to click in this book. She wasn't a strong enough reason to validate the rearrangement of his views on life or even change of plans.

That's exactly what I think, Carol.
The writing is definitely far from being as good as in Book 1 and 2. And Ronan and Mila just don't make sense together... not at all. Why would a naive and spineless girl like Mila change him? She wasn't even a challenge, she was so easy. I mean as far as I read - you know I haven't finished it yet.

After getting worse, it starts to get better, though...

I couldn't give it more than 2 stars, though, in the end. You can check my review for reasons but there are many spoilers there, so just saying :)
