My expectations for this book were moderate. After all, what could a history book tell me about a pandemic which I didn’t already know by living through the COVID one? In short, a ton.
It’s a clear explanation of the history of medicine, the mechanisms of viral attack and a perspective on all the major virus outbreaks in Recent history.
