MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my Goodreads' Friends and Followers.
This has been a horrendous year for many people and my seasonal wish for you all is to have a healthy, sufficiently wealthy(!) and happy new year.
I am now going to choose a book to read as I am giving myself a day off from all Christmas preparations. If I get no interruptions (I'll be lucky!) I'll be a happy bunny.
God bless you all and keep you safe.

Thank you, Mark. And I do hope you also have the most special Christmas ever. Somehow! Virus permitting.
I've yet to see it on TV news but apparently a new, stronger tier of restrictions has come into operation in England and the whole of the U.K. is not being allowed to mix over Christmas with our families, not currently in the same household. Millions of people's arrangements will no longer be allowed to go ahead. Including mine. My thoughts are with all those who cannot see their families and loved ones over Christmas even when they'd planned to do so.
Correction: Now that I've seen the BBC news, I've learnt that it's not the whole of the UK suffering the loss of Christmas get-togethers, but it is a significant percentage of people (including me!) who are not allowed to gather over the promised five days. Others are allowed just one day now. My apologies.Other countries may have similar restrictions but there is light at the end of this tunnel thanks to dedicated scientists and others. It's in the distance but growing ever brighter. Let us hope it is not snuffed out.
Talking of lights growing brighter - I just have to add this: The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will be tonight (winter solstice). "It’s been nearly 400 years since the planets passed this close to each other in the sky, and nearly 800 years since the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter occurred at night, as it will for 2020, allowing nearly everyone around the world to witness this “great conjunction.” "Best time to see what's known as 'The Christmas Star' is 4 - 6 p.m. GMT. I'm not sure about the rest of the world. I'm hoping for clear skies.
