Revisiting an old favorite, the best Barthelme book, which is to say: a big deal! Postmodern? Sure, but with enough levity and starry eyed phantasy so as to bridge it with surrealist and absurdist philosophies - barring content, the SUBSTANCE is surreal, which is rare for the postmodern soul - itself an oxymoron.
