Cora's chapters take the award for being the worst-written. Scott's are a close second. "I was sucked from bed like a dreamer"? What does that even mean? I have never seen the quality of writing flip flop from one chapter to another like it does with this author. Yikes.

The generalizations in this book are killing me, but at least the pacing has picked up. If this book doesn't get any worse, I'll give it a very low three stars.

I think the first-person POV brings the whole book down. Scott and Cora are the most boring characters, but even they have some interesting things about them. If this book were in third-person, I think it would really shine.
