It is getting so tiresome how the main character calls every other girl “Blondie,” “ho-bag” or says shit like “The last meal the probably had was a Tic Tac.” After seeing the author’s photo, I think she might be projecting a bit.

Much better than Just Like the Movies, but pretty juvenile. Miles behind YA contemporary authors like Jessi Kirby, Morgan Matson, or Brigid Kemmerer.

I read one other book by this author (Just Like the Movies), which I thought was terrible, but I’ll give this a chapter or two before donating just because I own it in hardcover. Thankfully, it was a giveaway win rather than a purchase.
