I picked this up just for the Pieta! Gorgeous! Breathtaking! Never have seen a picture of it before this year of home educating Luke. The magazine has virtually nothing in it about the Pieta, but it was amazing to just start studying it and then it appears on NG!!

Actually pretty good. I picked it up because Luke and I were studying the Pieta by Michelangelo, which is on the cover, at the very same time that issue was published. The Pieta is AMAZING!!! Would love to see in real life. But there isn't any further info on that piece of art in the magazine. BUT, the author of this issue seems to be pretty balanced in what he says -- he doesn't belittle the Bible or Christianity. He actually said too that Joseph's "Coat of many colors" is a mistranslation -- the Hebrew actually means "a garment with long sleeves"! Which apparently were pretty hard to make back then, and cost more that ones with little or no sleeves. I will let you know on the rest of it.
