Le Guin is a pioneer. Imagine someone saying this book is woke gender ideology. It is, but that’s not what it is, it’s holistically compelling science fiction. You can’t disagree with whether something exists if it does, you can challenge why it does, but she makes you address it on her terms. One of the greats, RIP.
