Something is not working for me with this author or this book. It's like the build up is endless, but the highest point just never comes.
Plus I hate the passive aggressive dynamic of their "relationship". They are roleplaying, of course, but because of that dynamic, everything feels like trying too hard and totally artificial. 🤦
