I mentioned to my aunt that I was reading this book and she told me she thinks Franzen is trash, because she assumes everything book she sees for sale at an airport is trash. I told her she's not wrong, but this book won the Pulitzer. She seemed surprised, but even trash wins the Pulitzer sometimes. (I mean, look at the winners Pre-1960s).
But yes. Franzen is trash, albeit digestible and writes sex scenes well.
