Never thought I’d see the day that there would be a novel that relates to John Crowley’s Little, Big the same way Le Guin’s Earthsea relates to
Lord of the Rings. By this I mean that Stewart is clearly taking his cues from Crowley while still finding a way to be his own self. Do it’s not feeble immigration (eg. Sword of Shannara), but agonistic influence, as Harold Bloom would call it.
