I have to be honest, when I got past the initial chapters and sort of figured out where this story might be going (or so I thought), I was a bit scared/worried/reluctant to finish reading. I am and forever will be a HEA person. If there isn’t a happy ever after for the main couples, I am not a happy reader! But because I have read MANY of Jeanne McDonald’s stories (yes mostly Fan Fic, but great stories never-the-less), I decided to go with my faith in her as a great writer and continue with the book. BOY AM I EVER GLAD I DID!!!! Yes there is another book to follow, and I was left without my HEA (yet), but you are given a sneak peek into the Prologue of her next book in the Saga. Someone, in another review somewhere made note it was a previous Fan Fic story. I never got to read that story before it was pulled. I am rather glad at this point I did not read it. I am now like many of you out there, waiting to find out what will happen in this Saga. It will be a tough wait, but I am willing to do it, because this book/saga seems to be definitely worth it so far.
This story is extremely good, well written and draws you into the lives of the characters. Yes there was one I really wanted to slap, another I wanted to shake (but also wanted to hug many times). Another, I am hoping Jeanne will go with HIS story at some time. I could feel McKenzie’s excitement then pain in the beginning and pain again at the very end. I could actually almost feel Drew/Andy’s frustration and anger with Olivia. I cannot wait for her next book in the Saga to come out; will be waiting on pins and needles for that day!
