I was quite surprised that Ella, at 31, seemed to know so little about house things to take care of before or during a snowstorm. Even though she’d lived in Florida her whole life to that point.

Then I realized that I wasn’t generally aware of such matters either until I bought my first house, with my husband, when I wasn’t much younger than 31, since I’d grown up on a tropical island. 😄

Eleanor/Ella/Nora/Nori just turned 31.

Max was 15 when “the great storm” hit 22 years ago.

So he’s 37!
