Noooooooo. :( This was one of my favorite reads from last year. I think it was right around this time in the book she makes her way to the palace, s I loved the intrigue, magic and love/hate relationship between her and 'her husband'.

Your review is what made me really want to pick it up!! I’m having issues with the main character. She and the text seem to think she’s really smart and I can’t get over some super dumb decisions she’s already made. Also, I can see a spark between her and her husband but I’m at a part when she’s like ~I totally understand him now~ and I’m like do you, tho??

:( It might not be for everyone. She learns to adapt. But, man, shit gets real. I'd go deeper, but if you don't enjoy the book by the end, then I apologize for misleading and hyping you falsely.

Hmm ... if shit gets real then I will read on! It’s a quick enough read and I do like the world/magic. I’ll read some more tomorrow. Maybe I’m too tired right now to appreciate the main character lol
