I’m enjoying the anecdotes and the tying in of Drewe’s fictional books to His life in this book. It feels self- indulgent at times and certainly doesn’t shy away from Drewe’s own personal issues- marital breakdowns, love lusts and preoccupations with death and drowning that often surface in his writing. Although I continue to enjoy his writing, this memoir made me like him a little less.
