Having seen the Spider-Verse movie the other day, its Spider-Man Noir really had the whole style down perfectly, the black-and-white decor and private-eye monologues and everything. Much better than the comic he's based on. Alas.
Still, what the comic is lacking in style, it's making up for in substance. This stuff quite feels like the time period it's set to. It's still great, just... you know how it is.
