I expected complex scifi and instead I have started off with a private invetigator and a mystery. A mystery whose very premise is intriguing. I am pleased with this unexpected beginning to a book that I thought I could anticipate how it would begin since it is the third in the series. I have already lost a character I thought would be a protagonist and find myself wanting to know more.
