Author needs a dictionary and a grammar manual. I can’t blame all of the issues on editor failure. I’m about to DNF this book because it is so frustratingly written.

The writing is very repetitive and awkward in a lot of places - not even counting all the errors. The main character is supposed to have a PhD in archaeology and yet I’ve met high school age students who sounded smarter - and I mean public school. There’s a lot of telling versus showing and it does not work for me with this book. I’m actually getting angry reading this because I had such high hopes for this!

Still finding errors every few pages. I even started using the highlight and note function of the Kindle app to mark them... if I was the author, I would fire the editor. Microsoft Word 2003’s spellchecker was better than this.

I literally just started this book and there are grammatical errors in the second sentence of the book. What the actual fuck.
