A lot of Dalair-Sophia lovers lament that this book wasn't good enough to satisfy bc Sophia didn't sacrifice enuf or do anything extraordinary to deserve Dalair.
As a reader who never really obsessed over this particular couple, I find what happened at 79% pretty extraordinary. She essentially fought back the Darkness within her to do the "right thing." And it was powerful. I don't know what else you can ask for.

It looks like I’m reading the 4th time but I’m not. I only read it 1 for the beta as AJ wrote it. 2 for the actual ARC (where I might have skimmed by I wanted to get to the review) and 3 this time. So technically this is my 2nd detailed read :P
But yah, not sure how these scenes slipped my mind.....
For shame Starr! To have forgotten the HOTNESS of this book!! 😛🤣
