A great series spanning to the end of the universe. I liked the uniquely Chinese point of view where one ordinary person can effect the fate of the galaxy. Another reoccurring theme, starting during the cultural revolution, is how somebody's social status can change from being from a hero to villain to back again according to the vicissitudes of the time. Lots of interesting science. A great read.
