Such a great look into the deadly vices and their positive counterpoints. So far I’ve read about pride vs poverty of spirit and envy vs mourning and rejoicing. Envy stems out of “inordinate self/love,” and it is a spreading poison to joy. “But nothing is more essentially human in every society than the virtue of mourning with those who mourn & rejoicing with those who rejoice!”
