Harsh I know. But it was obvious he was a dolt from the beginning of Oasis. I like "Wonderwall" but he is just another empty headed celebrity when it comes to art.
i just find the interview incredibly amusing, that's all. i mean, he contradicts himself a bunch of times in his own interview. he says that book lovers are elitists but he doesn't want you music to appeal to the man on the street. it's funny because he's a git with a choice turn of phrase. :P
Mo, "git with a turn a phrase" is a nice turn of phrase. I was being reactive. Now worrying that this whole discussion will be censored. My bad if so.
robert, no worries. if GR bothered to police every instance of the word fuck here, they'd be looking at several centuries worth of work. i posted this interview in a few places, and nobody seemed to find it as funny as i did, so i guess i am just aberrant -- NOT REALLY A SURPRISE. ;)
