So, because I fell for Tamlin the first time I read this, does that mean I can't recognise red flags?!

Even though this is my least favourite in the series, I’m obsessed with this reread. 😭🥰

Of course, a reread needed to be had.
The title and the cover for the next two books? 👌🏾 I can’t wait to have them in my hands. 😍

“I might die of surprise,” Lucien said behind me. “You made a joke, Feyre.”
I hope Lucien gets his own book. I need his story! And we need snarky Lucien back.

A comfort (re)read is needed.
Though Feyre’s family is already raising my blood pressure. 🙄😒

My heart still hurts for Feyre even though I've read this book numerous times. She's absolutely falling apart. 😞

Brittany wrote: "haha I liked him but was wary, it's SO in your face the second time around though haha"So in your face!! 😂
Worrying how subtle it was too.

But I attract horrific relationships, so I guess it makes sense hahaha
I've been asking myself the very same thing lately 🙃 in my defense, I've always been a rhysand kinda girl, so I never gave tamlin much thought. Don't know if that makes my case better tho🤔🤣 I guess it's the SJM effect: don't question it, just embrace it🤷🏼♀️
Rhysand was life, but then
was the SJM book I most connected to in terms of MC and the break down of one's self to rebuild... So maybe I am better at noticing now??? Hopefully haha

😂 I mean it’s all a process, right?! I’m here avoiding everything. 😆
And Heir of Fire is one of her absolute best books! The character development was SO good!

But yes, I’m not questioning anything SJM writes. I’m in it for the journey.
Arini wrote: "i feel like everyones currently re-reading this in preparation for acofas. i didnt even know until recently that book is coming out this month. whose book is it gonna be again? is it nestas? 👀"It’s a massive buddy read. 😍
And yup! It’s Nesta and Cassian’s book that’s coming out. 😍😍
Arini wrote: "i feel like everyones currently re-reading this in preparation for acofas. i didnt even know until recently that book is coming out this month. whose book is it gonna be again? is it nestas? 👀"Wait what? oh no I just reread most of it last year guess I need to finish!
Nikita wrote: "Second time I read it, I saw the flags. Can't believe I didn't the first time."I was so blind to it the first time! Till book 2 happened. And then when I reread it, I saw all the hints that were dropped in there.
I don't think there were many red flags in the first book as per ,the second one however does seem to highlight his shortcomings. For me personally I didn't like tamlim in the first book was because he was boring.
traits we appreciated in the first book turned toxic in the second. being protective isnt a bad thing, but smothering someone is.... my issue from the first book *spoiler* is when he didnt help her under the mountain... at all! had time to make out with her, but not share any info or give her food, words of encouragement. nothing.

Thank you! 😄

He definitely shows controlling traits in book 1. And after the ending, those traits became even more apparent.
Allison wrote: "traits we appreciated in the first book turned toxic in the second. being protective isnt a bad thing, but smothering someone is.... my issue from the first book *spoiler* is when he didnt help her..."Yeah, that part of the story truly proved how useless he was. She gave too much of herself to him. But neither did she know what love meant.
Elaine wrote: "No! I still <3 Tamlin. His actions were wrong but his love was right."I do agree with that tbh. He just didn’t know when to stop. His overprotectiveness became overbearing. The way he loved her became suffocating. He turned toxic after that.
Warda wrote: "I do agree with that tbh. He just didn’t know when to stop. His overprotectiveness became overbearing. The way he loved her became suffocating. He turned toxic after that."Exactly! He didn't know how to deal with his fear for her and his protectiveness turned monstrous.

Yeah I always felt like his already somewhat questionable traits turned even worse after the events, which makes sense, but made him toxic.
