What a great way to end this volume! Mary Robinette Kowal's "A Feather In Her Cap" is an entertaining fantasy story about a hatmaker/assassin. We call need a side hustle these days. I think I would enjoy reading a full-length novel starring this story's heroine. The final story, "The Donner Party" by Dale Bailey, is brilliantly paced with a shocking conclusion that had me puffing my cheeks in envy.

The Equationist by J.D. Moyer. My favorite story of this issue so far. I am a mathematics dunce and normally the subject turns me off if it appears in fiction, but I really enjoyed this tale of a math whiz who tries to equate people's life paths with a mathematical equation. Makes me wonder what mine is. (straight down-angle line probably)
