The author sums up the Creationists world view quite nicely and in a way they would probably concur with:
“It is either Christian America where true Christians run the show and where people of all faiths or of no faith know their place, or it is Godless America. There is no middle ground. The choice is clear. The stakes could not be higher”

Hating on Galileo probably not the best way to win hearts and minds.

There are multiple fascinating arguments in this book. One being that the Creationists who designed this museum claim to be do nothing more than presenting the literal word of God. Of course no museum is 100% impartial. Walking paths, displays, omissions all betray the biases of a desired narrative. The Creation Museum simply takes it to an extreme.

How you ask did 938 “kinds” (a Creationist scientific designation larger than ‘specie’) mutate into our present 8 million species in the wake of a Flood that occurred only 4000 years ago?
Creationists got you covered:
“When the Flood destroyed the world’s forests, it must have left billions of trees floating for centuries on the ocean. These log mats served as ready made rafts to cross oceans”

Responding to a visitor’s complaint about the museum’s lack of science, the planetarium director said: “There is plenty of science that confirms biblical creation. Much of this science is presented. Some is very apparent such as in the planetarium or the Flood, geology room. Much of the science is ‘behind the scenes’ and you may not have noticed it”.
Perhaps it’s behind the unicorn? :)
