Forgot to update the progress, but I finished Plato's "Defence of Socrates" last night. It was actually pretty readable and interesting to my surprise.

Just finished an abridgement of "A Theory of Justice" by John Rawls. Talks out of his ass the whole time. He thinks that if you strip people of most identity the "original position" of society can be found. But this leaves everyone lacking humanity and individuality, the dynamics which actually birth society! Besides, there was no meeting to discuss how society should be. It just happened. And Justice is a latecomer!

Just wrapped up an excellent, though abridged essay by John Stuart Mill advocating for women's rights from the same time period that the United States was having a war over slavery. "On the Subjection of Women" is well spoken with a wonderfully witty ending that I hope shut up every 19th century misogynist who read it.
