I feel like the word "radical" has acquired a more and more negative connotation over the last few years, but it is nevertheless the word that comes to mind (in a more neutral or even positive sense) when I think about some of the ideas presented in this book. Turning away from consumerism etc. is quite the opposite of what society is telling us to do, but it may indeed be a crucial step to finding sanctuary.
