Abby Frucht > Status Update

I have a feeling she wrote parts of this book intending for them to be a ya or children's book, because they appeal so openly via the classic moves of childrens lit - orphaned children, curio shop, unpredictable decisions made by unsuitable grownups, chair with cloven goat foot, kind doormen...but so far these parts don't blend perfectly with the chapters clearly written w adult readers in mind. still, loving it.
