Apparently I can't stick to one book right now. Nothing is sticking. I tried giving this a go right before covid hit the US. Barely touched it. I picked it up tonight and couldn't stop reading; I've enjoyed Joan Didion's work before, so I don't see why this will be different. I love consuming little bits of history through her essays.
