Interesting start. I think there needs to be a trigger warning, though. The meeting of the adult male and what is apparently a female child and what happens between them dredged up disturbing images and memories for me. It is only because I know the truth of their story that I think I can continue reading. Even knowing that, I have shied away from the book for the last few days.

I am still having trouble with the depiction of sexual activity between an apparent child and an adult. It bothers me that it is written so matter of fact, like it is perfectly normal. I hope this story is worth the feelings it has brought up so far, if I can even continue reading to get to the end.
