i really want to like this book. it’s beautiful, but the intro is just packed with the author boasting about her privileged upbringing. i understand it was published in 2013, when times were better, but it’s 2021 and things suck, and the author has already gone through a civil war and kind of brags about how easy she had it during a civil war. being at the brink of one....i’m not impressed yet.
