I don't have any answers but I was wondering the same for other books that I checked out :/

I wonder if they're trying to reduce the amount of info on the website? But that's weird, too, because some other people's reviews are still there. Yet another one thing to add to GR's peculiarities. But considering this is a forum for reviews, taking them away is puzzling.

Exactly, if they need "space" they should remove the comments not the review... Just a thought :/

It's been happening for a while now, it hits random books and not the same books for every person, so you might have missed it. It's been reported to GR support, and they've replied that they're aware and working on it, but it seems to be the standard generic reply, it's been going on for weeks and nothing changed. It seems like the only way we have is for as many people as possible to report the issue, maybe they'll decide to fix it just to make us shut up. 😂

I have seen that problem with another book. Seems like the reviews vanished from the "Friends reviews" section, but they are still in the main community review section of the book page.

Sounds like a good plan, Elena! THey always sounds so concerned and kind when they reply, but effectively nothing really happens. Still not getting mail notifications for ALL comments made on threads! 🙄

Ahh, yes, I've noticed the same...they are still there...just not under your profile of "friends reviews". Strange indeed.

GR going haywire AGAIN. So fed up that they can’t make this work properly. 😣

I just noticed this the other day. I think either they don't want to put the money into enough IT that can handle the issues, or the money to maintain/expand the server. Either way, it always comes down to money. 😒

Of course you are totally right, Lisa. There are really no comparable sites available, the few that exist are really no threat to GR. And they know that. So why spend more money when they know most of us are going to remain, whatever.
It bugs me, enormously.

The ratings for some of my friends reviews are gone too.

It's weird that it's on some books but not others. The reviews show up when you scroll down the community section so at least they're not gone. Just strange

Thank God they haven't been totally erased, but it does make life more difficult, that's for sure! So many weird things ... 🙄

Someone just said that GR is beta testing new book page designs maybe that's what is causing problems? When you switch to a new display it can mess things up maybe? I don't work in IT so I'm only guessing

It certainly isn't Lisa. Maybe whatever they're trying is only on a cross section of books nd not all of them? Darn, tbh, there is no point speculating - we can all but hope that it's going to be fixed. Unlike the mail notification problem which was never put right.

uuuum...my comment is gone? Weird. Anyway, yeah, I don't hold out any hope of the notifications ever being fixed.

I have the same issue for random books at random times. I can still find my friend reviews if I scroll through all the reviews, but it's annoying when you are trying to decide whether to read a book or not.

Yes it’s the 2nd, AND the best one! I can’t see reviews for the third book either or Red, White & Royal Blue 🤨 Along with my missing highlights and having to manually enter books that I’ve started/finished and Amazon not being able to help either and no response from GR help desk, I’m not a happy bunny 🙄😭
