"fill your lungs high and wide and watch the chest get bigger and bigger" he doesn't do this in every description of "decompression breathing" but high and wide is pretty much the opposite to the back and belly breathing we talk about in singing and bracing - fill out the bottom of the lungs, not just the chest.
