This is absolutely hilarious--misadventures of Eupolis and Aristophanes [who hate each other]. Eupolis insists vehemently Aristophanes stole some of Eupolis' best lines for "The Frogs." They reach Catana safely.

Back in Athens. Eupolis arrested on charges of blasphemy, treason, many other things, and attempted murder. Has to face trial and execu tion. Great sa tire on The Law, lawyers, trials, all that legal stuff. Phaedra smart and helpful and plays devil's advocate.

Great satire and humor on war. Athenians have lost the Great Battle of Syracuse, also a sea-battle. March homeward bound a gem. Penned in a walled orchard, Eupolis escapes on advice of Dionysus. Meets Aristophanes and together they leave Sicilians in stitches.

Eupolis off to fight the Battle of Syracuse [Pelopponesian War]. I hope there will be more satire on the theater later on. Eupolis gives a good summary of action and people in Part I.
