It provides a brief look into Korean politics, development during 20th century and cultural values. However, the book does not necessarily inform you about the important details. Rather, you can clearly see what the writer thinks on the topic. The writer is not neutral. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but the reader must be aware that there are more details to the topics than mentioned.

It mentions that Lee Byung Chul(Samsung) returned to Korea from his trip to Japan and announced that he will donate his wealth to government. However, the story behind this is more than that. He was forced by President Park, just like other entrepreneurs were. Entrepreneurs were, ironically, detained in Seodaemun Prison by President Park, where Japanese colonies used to detain Korean people during 1910-1945.
