This is one of those collection where its actually important that you read front to back rather than jump around. The first collection fully articulates a style and theme. Henry has a complete understanding of but full unwillingness to embrace functionality. It's full of small moments that Henry seems to derive tragedy from, while still being humorous. Ending the first collection on Bluebird is an absolute guy punch.
