It started brilliantly in a scarily feasible dystopian society, then drifts away in a long trek across land and water which isn’t overly interesting.
There are some unusual elements, juggling a daughter’s first period with being on the run, which bring something different to the story. But there wasn’t enough to keep me engaged and the ending felt so rushed it was unsatisfying.
