Things are getting worse for the Moriscos. It pains me to think that it could be us next. It could be our family torn apart and forced to depart as if we were not always of this land. As if we had never belonged. It is not happening here in Seville. Only elsewhere on the peninsula. We are relatively safe for the moment, but for how long?
