تسألينني ما إذا كانت لا تثير شفقتي؟ أجيبك : نعم ، لم تعد كذلك اليوم . لقد استراحت منذ أن عوقبت ، حتى وإن بدا لها ذلك مرا. الخوف أشد من العقوبة ، لأن العقوبة محددة دائما مهما كانت خطورتها . ينبغي ألا تكون دموعها مخطئة ؛ الآن فقط هي تنهال ولكنها قبل ذلك كانت تتراكم بداخلها . وهي أكثر إيلاما في الداخل مما هي في الخارج.

I find it similar to Russian novels in exploring human suffering, not so deep as Dostoyevsky of course but has a similar taste.What I found interesting till now is his smooth pen and beautiful explanation of emotional conflicts.
I think it will not be my last book for Stefan.
