I really wanted to like this book but so far I'm disappointed. I'm not sure if I'll finish it. The writing is overly descriptive to the point that it frequently takes me out of the story at hand. I feel confused half the time about what's going on. It feels like the author had a lot of big ideas and tried to include all of them, and it doesn't work. Everyone is queer which is great but literally everyone is white.
