Got exciting around page 198. But I still don't really care about any of the characters. They are all very bland and I know they're teens, but this is an adult book so I expect more. I like Moiraine. The writing is unnecessarily detailed (what order people go through a gate, Rand brings up the rear). Foreshadowing is interesting and I'm intrigued, but it's done with 0 subtlety. The dialogue feels like it's repeating.

I haven't read this in days. Got to page 412. Still repetitive and the fun parts aren't making up for the not fun parts. I'm going to finish this but not move forward with this series I already know it.

The writing gets a tad repetitive for my taste. Rand has mentioned the "gleam in Egwene's eyes was not all from moonlight" on page 158 and now again on page 168 we get: "he did not think the shine in Egwene's eyes was all from moonlight."
The amount of times moonlight is mentioned and then described or used in the description of other things is kind of tiring. hmm. Just something I'm noticing.
