So much glossing over. So much “the next three weeks flew by” “before she knew it the semester was almost over” “several weeks flew by before she realized...”

Sometimes I wonder if someone is pretending their character is from America or Britain should the writing be American or British? Melody seems American but author must be British. Uses provost- which we don’t. Talked about marmalade and tea too which isn’t an American thing. Just interesting.

I keep picking books that have these abused FMCs but where the abuser gets off easy hopefully that happens in this series but I suspect with 3 books so far (if not final) it’ll expand beyond that but hopefully when we get to the MMCs they find out about her situation. This makes me anxious.
