the first few poems seem promising and though the writings are 200 years old the references still make sense and the subjects touched upon don't feel so ancient as to foreign to a dweller of the present.

Ok, a lot comes to my mind after reading Queen Maab. It is sensual with very captivating imagery also full of allusion, allegory, & metaphor so it works on many levels of interpretation. Also very Christain Atheistical thems. A raging at a creator in Christian language (sorry if that sounds like to piss off both sides of this particular argument) anyway a Christian voice has some parents in Athens Empedocles-Turing

One thing I like about the Romantic poets is the writing is very cinematic and evokes images of action which definitely accessible to the ordinary reader.

was looking for Paul Foot's book on Shelley but it couldn't find it on Google Books and I don't want to use Amazon at least during the strike. I suppose I will have to settle for the poet themselves.
