CHAPTER XX

THE WAY OF DARKNESS

K19. The way of light, then, is as follows. If one desires to travel --> place, he must be zealous in his works. The knowledge, is the following. Thou shalt love Him that created thee: thou shalt glorify Him that redeemed thee. Thou shalt be simple in heart, rich in spirit. Thou shalt not join thyself 2 those who walk in the way of death. Thou shalt hate doing what is unpleasing to God: thou shalt hate all hypocrisy.

“And there was a river flowing on the right, and from it arose beautiful trees; and whosoever shall eat of them shall live for ever.” that we descend into the water full of sins and defilement, but come up, bearing fruit in our heart, having the fear [of God] and trust in Jesus in our spirit.

Eftersom djävulen är på väg måste vi undvika syndaren, och de "judiska felen", och tygla vår själ att inte låta den springa fritt. I relation till vad jag nyss läste i Cortes är detta påstående mindre främmande för kristendomen än vad jag trodde, men jag kan inte annat än att konstatera att detta går bortom gnosis till världsförnekelse, vilket NT direkt uppmanar att undvika.
