Maybe it's just that English is my second language, not my first... I read english and everything on tv is english so - why haven't I heard a lot of these words before? Example? Paroxysm. It's not even in my dictionary! The author obviously love to show of his/her knowledge of big unusual words. I don't mind, it's just too obvious... :/
