I like the pacing of Syenite’s story. The accuracy of feeling/processing/instincts of Essun’s tragedy are pretty convincing and relatable, relative to the death. I’m curious about Damaya, simply because she doesn’t have quite the narrative at this point. Mostly, I’m interested in how all of these stories eventually connect.
