I just finished chapter 16, and realized, when I checked the table of contents, that there are FORTY-SEVEN chapters in the book, which means I have THIRTY-ONE more long, rambling, incoherent chapters to go. This book is torture to read. The characters and plots are so convoluted and unbelievable, even for science fiction, that I have to put it aside for a while and read something good, to give my brain a rest.
