He was in the Tango World Championship semifinals, after 5 intense months with his partner (compared to the competition’s average 15 years). He won the Chinese Kickboxing National Championships by training 4 weeks, finding a rule loophole, and winning on a technicality. I guess he gets bored fast and wants to conquer something new RIGHT NOW, caring about the trophy more than doing fun things for their own sake.

He keeps talking about taking mini-retirements and living on the beach...but hasn’t said anything about how to do that. He’s talked a lot about why, and about how great it is to not be a 9-5 slave...but how do you just afford to quit your job and travel? I don’t know yet. He hasn’t said. I don’t think he’s even mentioned a 4-hour workweek yet.

So far it’s been two hours of not really saying anything. He’s really hammering home that 9-5 is for chumps and that people don’t take chances on their dreams because they fear the unknown. Is the unknown really worse than the miserable 9-5 you already know?

I don’t know. My day job is what pays for my family’s gas and groceries and my health insurance, so...
