8 hours into the audiobook

Ok, hear me out.
I love the Shadowhunters Chronicles
But
Why is there a very subtle incest sprinkled throughout a relationship in each and every book?
Also, I am even more intrigued for Chain of Thorns because something in this book just doesn't add up with Chain of Iron and I wonder whether it is a plot inconsistency or if it means something more

chain of iron made me miss tda so much that I just needed to reread it asap...and also, in the middle of my midterms, but it's fine anyway
at least i discovered i still have feelings...jokes aside, i was so emotional while reading coi and endless waves of emotions just came over and now i'm in need of some emotional support
